Forgiven is one thing, forcing others to pay for it is another. I never graduated from college, but I have no debt. Why should I have to cover someone else's choice?
Because education of a single person means growth for the whole society.
The only way I'll support college loan forgiveness is if the colleges pay off the debt. If their product is so inferior that it can't pay for itself, then they can effectively 'refund' the students.
Some of us just want the insane interest to go away. I would totally payboff the 12g in loans IF the payments actually went to the loan and not to the interest, which currently makes the loans over 30g. HOW IS THAT ASKING YOU TOBPAY MY DEBT?
