This is already here, without the computer scanners there isn't much you can do other than changing a tire or topping off the fluids...
They also build them in such a way that they requires special tools, which all but forces you to take it to the dealer for maintenance. They don't want people to fix it themselves, or even take it to a repair shop if they can help it. I worked as a mechanic in the 90's, and by the 2000's this was already starting.
