just accept it. junk mail keeps it free or else we'll all be paying for PO boxes or driving to the bank to pay for our mail storage. People already pay for recycling.
This person is correct. Junk mail is what's keeping post offices running. Tax revenue isn't enough, and no one wants to give them more funding because it's a dying market. When junk mail runs out, it'll either cost a lot more to send letters, or the USPS will be defunct.
