Yep, actually had this conversation with a co-worker once. Told him I liked his shirt, he said "yeah I just got it, it was only $100..." I just stared at him for a second then took off my watch and told him I was no longer wearing a $100 worth of clothes...
watches are a useless waste of money and you're showing off just as much as they are just by wearing one
I don't necessarily disagree with you but a watch can last decades and still be "in fashion" where a shirt might just last a few years and will probably be "out of fashion" after just 2...
