#4 Well, alot of people eat junk food, when they are depressed. When I'm depressed I always crave junk food.

Jule,

That's a good point. The insinuation that eating fried food causes anxiety & depression may be the other way around.

Another possibility is that overweight people tend feel anxious & depressed and they also frequently eat fried foods.

Emanuel, I’m never depressed and I occasionally eat junk food.

Laurinda,
He said a lot of people who are depressed eat junk food, not "every person that is depressed eat junk food and those who are not do not". Your point is completely invalid.

#31 A sweet gesture, but I'd think that would get tiresome very quickly.

#25 Are abandoned houses included in the number of "vacant homes"?
Additionally, it's not clear that homeless people would be just fine if they had a house. Most homeless are either mentally ill or drug-addicted.

Emanuel,
true. and the "fact" is very misleading. are these vacant homes owned by commercial operators? did they count all of the empty and properties in Detroit, that they cant even give away?

#25. And? Those two things are mutually exclusive.
We don’t have a glut of homeless due to lack of housing. People “down on their luck” don’t stay homeless for long. Long term homeless are that way due to drug and mental problems.

Melinda,

A man should look up the definition of "might" so as not confuse it with "stamina."

#7 Or said differently: 80% do not regret having children. Also nice to mention: Single-mother-"families" make up about 20%.
Nice example on how you can twist the thruth with statistcs.

Lettice,

No offense, but I too am extremely grateful that you don't have kids.
Regretful parents are generally very bad parents.

Lettice, having kids has been the best experience of my life. Life wouldn’t be complete without them. They can be aggravating at times (mostly from my own selfishness) but the joy of having them far far exceeds the occasional aggravation.

#15 Yeah, like the doorjamb and coffee table leg. It's scent marking; don't make it out to be anything more than innate territorial behavior.
"Honorary". Sheesh, what cr#p.

#17 223 people died in Hurricane Sandy.

#21 I gave blood routinely for 30 years before being diagnosed with anemia and told to stop. I know it helped people. That's good enough for me. 41

#25 Well, that's sad. There are homeless people that work for a living. A $1500 dollar apartment is not affordable for them.

#29 And his name was...

#34 Not true, there's a limit. A man named John Calhoun's did that kind of experiment by providing ideal conditions and enough housing for thousands of rats. At one point the rats just started to decline and ultimately all of them died.
