When you're little, you think your parents can do no wrong. But then one day you realize your dad is a lot like this dad...who slices his pizza like THIS in order to avoid cutting the pepperoni:
Or you realize that your mom is a lot like this mom...who spray-painted her refrigerator and microwave to be the same color:
Older siblings can also seem like superheroes...until yours proves to be like this big sister who thought her dryer was "broken" (because she didn't know she had to clean out the lint drawer):
Teachers can seem almost godlike when you're a little tyke...but in time you realize that some can be as much of a dumb @$$hole as anyone else:
You'll learn the "dumb @$$hole" thing can go for administrators, too — like the geniuses who decided it was a good idea to lock the bathrooms when class was in session to stop vandalism (never mind if anyone legitimately needed to use the toilet):
Then there's the person kids dream about meeting one day: their future significant other! As a kid, you imagine your one true love will be PERFECT, but then you grow up and discover they're a lot like this girlfriend...who throws her daily contacts behind the headboard of her bed every night:
Or this spouse who opens the cookies like THIS:
Or this one who keeps buying new jars of jam before they finish the last one (over and over again!):
Or this one who believes this pizza is totally fine and not at all burned! Till death do you part!!
Kids also grow up to learn that, annoying foibles aside, things could be a lot worse, because people in the dating world are even worse — make that a LOT worse:
Then there are your neighbors: adults who seem responsible and mature, but in time we all learn that they can be abso-freakin'-lutely ridiculous...
..or about as mature as all the rug rats in your kindergarten class:
In fact, you'll realize some neighbors are pretty scary and best avoided (like this one who, after their neighbor built a privacy fence, put up a camera pointed into their yard):
If your family rents, you'll learn that landlords can have their issues too (like this one who, after their tenants' gas fireplace broke, replaced it with THIS monstrosity):
"Experts" your family hires can prove to be pretty disappointing too (like the Geek Squad members who mounted a TV to this freaking sewage pipe):
Oh! And institutions that kids think of as nothing but good — like healthcare — reveal themselves to be not so black and white:
Airlines? LOL — you'll learn about airlines, too:
You'll learn that some adults — instead of being figures worthy of respect and honor — are big ole babies (like this "influencer")...
..and that some adults just don't seem to have a clue how to function in a society:
#5 I'd just pee in the sink/water dispenser.
#15 Explains the sh#t on TV tho
