Electrical or plumbing I'll do most other stuff but I leave those to professionals. I've been zapped enough and I don't want to deal with water leaking...

Leroy, getting zapped isn't the most dangerous part (just flip the circuit breakers and you're good to go.) Not doing it properly and causing a fire weeks, months or years later is the main reason I let professionals do this for me.

Same for water really, although it probably won't kill you, even the smallest leak left alone for some time is going to be insanely expensive.

Roy,
Depends if it is a 1 pole or 2 pole switch. If its a 1 pole switch, you will get burned. And that shit can kill, believe it or not. And you might have to provide some documentation when/if you sell too.

Most of these are professional jobs. if you don't know what you are doing then you'll just make it worse and with hospital bills

It amazes me every time I hear about the US tx returns. Its kinda utopia for me. My tax return takes about 5 minutes every year. There is an internetportal every citizen can log into where things are made ready for you. The tax return is already filled out, and all you do is check if all your loans and income(s) are correct. If not, you just change them. Very easy. So far never had an issue with it. Never got burned. But, then again. I live in Norway. And we got shit in order over here. And everyone uses debit cards or cash. Not credit cards. Those are for online shopping and emergencies.

Petronella, Well, you just reach into your pockets and hand over most of your money. Done. Pretty easy, huh?

It takes about 5 minutes to fill out a standard 1040 in the US as well. The complicated part comes when you're a business or you file quarterly.
