In 1969 I bought regular almost everywhere in Texas along Route 66/ I-40 for 19¢ a gallon. (Ate a lot of Stuckey's peanut brittle & divinity, too. Always passed on the mummified hot dogs, though.) When I finally got to Vinita, Oklahoma I filled up for 14¢ a gallon.
