"Silence of the Lambs"
"Apollo 13. Brilliant cast, brilliant story that they cut/condensed juuuusssttt the right amount. Still holds up today."
"I went into The Matrix totally blind, I had no idea what it was about, only the title of the movie.
I was BLOWN AWAY.
Also, I had ZERO entrance in wine, and a date took me to see Sideways at a arthouse, and I was like whatever ok. Now I’m into wine."
"Aliens. The soundscape, for lack of a better word: perfect."
"The Usual Suspects"
"Arrival.
I’d never seen it before I watched it about a month ago. It was BRILLIANT – the concept, the pacing, the special effects. Amy Adams needs a f@#king Oscar already. Damn."
"The Prestige"
"When I was a kid, I went to the cinema to see Speed (1994). It was a friggin trip."
"Dark knight"
"The first Indiana Jones movie – Raiders of the Lost Ark. Saw it on opening night in the theatre. I had never seen anything like it. That opening scene with the enormous boulder, the gold statue, the natives, Belloq, the snake. Wow!!!"
"Parasite"
"Bullet Train. My family ended up watching it twice within 24 hours."
you mean Big Science?? with their "peer reviews" that are mostly bias garbage
"Big Science" by Laurie Anderson. I LOVE that album! But, there is no song called "peer reviews" on it.
With a cast of only a few the writing has to be on point. And it is.
Bonus: It's not three hours long.
The Abyss is criminally underrated.
