I think the point is to see how far you'd get and how quickly you'd get there, but Wow! You are so smart! You really must impress your dates before they get an emergency call and leave.
Smart people building computers, cars, rockets, trains, solar panels. They also writing the code for that stuff. Think about your GPS in your car or in your phone. It is done by very smart people. All that stuff makes your life better. And yet you see smart people unworthy of a date? That is wild.
The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding in all of the directions it can whizz. As fast as it can go, the speed of light, you know, twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is!
As a thought experiment, I always imagined stray beams of light that have bounced off of an object on earth and made their way to space. For many years, those beams of light have not made contact with anything. If you are somehow able to track and receive those beams of light, could you see what the last object they contacted was; the image?
This could be done by a telescope if i understand correctly. But keep in mind, that light gets distorted by our own atmosphere. I am not sure but i guess that the best telescopes that we both could buy for money would not be able to identifiy a car on the moon. An observer outside of our own star system would propably not be able to distinguish our picture from the light our own sun is emitting. Just too much noise.
