I think the point Melanie was making is parents exploiting their child’s discomfort for internet clout is rather irresponsible. Plus, it casts a bad example for the child to behave that way as well…a Sociopathic doosh.
This. Yes, it's just a bug and doesn't harm the child. But you could tell the kid exactly this and teach him to deal with the situation instead of laughing and filming. This could be a moment of growth.
