16% of the people living in Norway weren't born there. The percentage of people who's parents migrated is even higher. Migration is the main reason why there is a growth in population. Additionally, there are some minorities, like the Sami, living in Norway without being ethnic Norwegians.
The population is small in comparison to size of the land, but 44% are living close to the capital and 83% in the south of the country.
