Exactly! When I was a child trick or treating in the 70's, we'd dress my kid sister as a runaway slave with full blackface, while I was dressed as her bull whip carrying bounty hunter, and no one said sh#t! Now, everybody's 'offended' when we both go door to door like that. wassat

Most of these are from the 80s considering the characters the costumes are based on generally were created around 1984 or later.

Elvie, Ok, there are a few anachronisms, but: Gumby, Casper, Superman, Scooby Doo, Daffy Duck, Star Trek, etc. and more, from way before the 80s.
