Well, yes and no. If you have a house with a large, fenced garden, this is cruel, but in an small apartment it is necessary (several hours with breaks during the day + all night) - look at the photo. The option is always not to have a dog if you do not have the right conditions or the time needed to care for it
I'm reading that asif you think it's okay to leave a dog in a crate if you live in a small apartment.
