We view Canada as a Happy place mostly, Canadian troops liberated the Netherlands from Germany in WW2, Canadians fight among themselves just like Americans.
It's not about fighting among themselves, it's about what Canada did to the natives. Many of the cruelties surfaced in the last decades. Stuff like secret cemeteries in 're-education' camps and stuff
