#3 An ad campaign ran in the thirties . Toilet paper had been in use for more than 1000 years before that, but nobody had advertised it as splinter free, implying other brands were not. The implication was false. The nature of how paper is made, it would have been extremely rare for any splinters even 1000 years ago.
"Splinter free toilet paper was invented in 1935. Which means before that, toilet paper had splinters. Fucking ouch."
