Both sides are unwise. When it comes to dogs, they are relative carnivores. Meat is a crucial component of their diet, but it doesn't have to be the mainstay. Some dogs will get sick without meat, while others will be healthy and happy on a typical vegan diet. And giving your dog only meat will also expose it to disease. Comparing dogs to wolves is foolish. Dogs have been eating what humans eat for thousands of years and have simply adapted (not all of them!). Do you think that by giving your dog food, those brown pellets, you're giving it meat? Many of them contain less than a third of the meat :)
