A 110 ton truck overloaded with sand caused a concrete bridge to collapse in the outskirts of Beijing. After an investigation, the court came to decision that the driver is the only one to blame, so now a man named by Chinese media merely as Mr. Zhang will have to pay the astounding $25 million of compensation.

Chinese made bridge, I'd expect even if the truck had no load, it still would have collapsed. That every section of the bridge appears to have collapsed suggests strongly inevitability.

Lenny,
Happens everywhere when drivers have overweight loads. Ex.
Gorham, Maine (2024): An overweight truck loaded with crushed gravel plunged through the historic 1840 Babb’s Covered Bridge, exceeding the 3-ton limit and causing extensive damage. That Chinese truck didn't collapse in itself.
