MXC is an American re-purpose of footage from the Japanese Takeshi’s Castle, and modern obstacle course game shows are nothing in comparison to it.
Looks like that rope was tied around it for a long time, as it was covered in small crustaceans and plankton. It must have been very painful, to force such a giant beast to approach divers in search of help.
