Apparently someone had an obvious question about which shade of gray was the best. I suppose there are many shades of gray, I don’t find them very different. This person must have been on a quest.

These have to be the worst hip hop record covers that have ever been designed. Some are rather risqué while others are just done in poor taste. If the hip hop music on the records is no better than the covers, I doubt they sold very well.

They use a sickle to give haircuts in this Chinese village. It looks very scary and very dangerous. Undoubtedly, the person getting the haircut must have a tremendous amount of faith in his barber.

These are the Ellora Caves that were built sometime between the 5th and the 10th centuries. They are located close to the ancient Indian village of Ellora. They are a famous archaeological site and are massively huge.

How was Guinness Book of Records started? It all happened in May 1951. Sir Hugh Beaver, then the managing director of the Guinness Breweries, was involved in an argument on a party in a bar. The argument was about which was the fastest bird in Europe. Sir Beaver realized that there was no book which allowed settling arguments about records, and he thought that a book of this kind might become popular.

The first 197-page edition of The Guinness Book of Records was published on August 27, 1955. It quickly flew to the top of the British bestseller lists by Christmas. Since then about 400 million Guinness World Record copies were published. The most recent one is scheduled to be released in 2011. Let’s see what world records it will show.
