This is an 18 year old protester in London. He threw a fire extinguisher from the roof of the headquarters of the Tory party. Fortunately, no one was hurt and he was later arrested. Whatever happened to the days when a protest meant a sit in? 

Graphic designer from San Francisco Michael Tompert and his friend photographer Paul Fairchild have created a series of photographs of the broken, ruined, bullet-riddled and run over by a train Apple products. All the gadgets were bought on their own money and then destroyed. It should be noted that in the past Michael Tompert worked at Apple and is always a fan of this company.

These are some of the 1,075 photographs taken by Taryn Simon who spent 5 days last year taking pictures of cargo seized or detained from express mail and passengers entering the USA from abroad at Kennedy airport. All the photos were shot for the project “Contraband”. Some of these counterfeit and prohibited items are weird, others are just hilarious.

Tiger-Stone is a Dutch paver laying machine that can produce brick roads. This machine rolls out an amazing hardscape and creates an instant road anywhere it goes. The process looks magical and unbelievable.

Paving bricks are put onto the angled plain. As the electric crawler moves forward along a sand base layer, all the stones are packed together by gravity. The Tiger-Stone is able to lay out 400 square meters of road per day. You should watch the video to see this impressive machine in action.

Seeing someone’s face tattooed isn’t normal, as for me. But these mugshot tattoos, even though some of them are oldies of the day, are not only strange and ugly, they are crazy!

The Dubai Metro is well known all over the world for its longest fully automated, and driverless network. Its first line, the Red Line, partly operates. It was opened on September 9, 2009, at 9:09:09 by the Ruler of Dubai Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The Green Line is still under construction, and two more lines are planned.

The construction cost of the Dubai Metro project is about $7.6 billion. The ridership has recently reached 130,000 passengers a day, and it is expected to rise to 170,000 passengers a day by the end of 2010.

PAC-MAN's 30th Anniversary

Seeing Adriana Iliescu and her 5-year-old daughter Eliza walking hand in hand, you are more likely to believe that they are a great grandparent and a granddaughter. Adriana, a writer from Romania, delivered Eliza at the age of 66, and she is 72 now. She became the oldest mother in the world in 2005 thanks to IVF.

People call Adriana granny for fun, but she got used to it. And what would you say if a 72-year-old woman delivers another child?

These miniature soldiers are very realistic. The war scenes also look real and tell a story. These aren’t your everyday toy soldiers. They are real miniatures. The equipment in the scenes also look real. The whole scene is quite amazing.

This is an exhibition of everyday objects that were made by students of the faculty of Industrial Design Technology College HiT, in the Park Mini-Israel. The only condition of their design was that it had to mimic the originals.
