Author Chris Wild has found some striking historic photos for his new book called “The Retronaut Guide To Raising Children: The Past Like You Wouldn’t Believe.” 
 

Several months ago we’ve written about elementary school teacher Kyle Schwartz who asked her students to answer one simple question “I Wish My Teacher Knew…” Her students’ answers were cute, unexpected and heartbreaking. Her notes were widely shared on the internet and via Twitter. It inspired many other teachers to repeat the same experiment with their students. They shared their results with Kyle afterworlds who has now published a book titled "I Wish My Teacher Knew: How One Question Can Change Everything For Our Kids." Here are some of the examples of the notes her students wrote that both inspired her and left her heartbroken...

Photographer Niki Boon is living with her four children on a 10-acre property in New Zealand and tries to document their everyday carefree life in natural environment. Her children aren't schooled and she believes that they "are right where they belong covered in mud."As a gift, Niki gives each child a pile of their photos on his or her birthday as these photos are a little treasure which will later tell their childhood stories.

Some of them are maybe our future, but others are a plain nightmare...

This social experiment demonstrate how easily a child would walk away with a total stranger.
 

Kenton Lee has created “The Shoe That Grows” specifically for children in poor nations. The shoe can expand up to five sizes in five years and it’s a very clever concept.

Someone definitely wasn’t paying careful attention when they allowed these inappropriate moments to make it into these books for kids.
