Mark Michaelson from Manhattan has a strange hobby – he collects mugshots of American criminals and has over 10000 of them, so he finally decided to share his collection with the Internet.

Back in 1930s America was almost ruled by gangsters, who were not just criminals, but were involved in almost every sphere of country’s life due to their power. Politics, economics, social life, even fashion – everything was influenced by these ruthless killers.

These mugshots are of dangerous criminals who were operating in the Tyne and Wear county in the North East region of England in 1930s.

These people have all been arrested but they do look too beautiful to be criminals.
