From Bonifacio and Rocamadour, France to Santorini the people that live in these buildings are seriously living on the edge. However, don’t take that first step because it’s a long one.

These are photos that were taken in Europe in WWII. There are some quite amazing photos of fighting men. They simply prove that war really is hell.
Human zoos were popular in Europe in the 19th and 20th century. They were also known as “Negro Villages” or “ethnological expositions” where humans were exhibited in their natural state.
We have already posted some works of urban artist Slinkachu who makes installations of his miniature fellas around London. Now they have made a little trip around Europe.
This is an amazing art project!
Check out more of these works in the previous part:

You’ll see some of the countries that suffer from it inside the post.
There are many wonderful places on the European continent that become even more stunning when you look at them from a bird’s eye view. I am sure you will enjoy these photos!
It’s really funny. Nothing more to say, just look at the picture :)

These photos give one a retro look at our visions of the future from yesteryear thru the artwork from Soviet and European popular tech and science magazine illustrations dating from the ‘30s thru the ‘70s. In other words what we thought the future would look like when we thought about it years ago. They provide an interesting perspective of where we are and what we can expect in the future.
Vatnajökull is the largest glacier in Iceland. It is located in the south-east of the island, covering more than 8% of the country. With a size of 8,100 km², it is the largest glacier in Europe in volume (3,100 km³) and the second largest in area. The average thickness of the ice is 400 m, with a maximum thickness of 1,000 m. Under the glacier, as under many of the glaciers of Iceland, there are several volcanoes.
So here are some b/w pics of the largest glacier in Europe, don’t miss them, they are beautiful.

Funny flash animation about why so temperamental Italians stand alone in the big European family (I’m talking about the EU of course) ;)
It’s right, you need to save money for fuel. Plus, such cars are much easier to park ))
A powerful storm hits the south of France and Spain.
We can clearly see on the pictures how easily hurricane force winds brought down trees.
