Russia-based artist Leonid Tishkov and photographer Boris Bendikov have created these original and inspiring images of the moon so it felt that we could reach out and touch it. Their creative endeavor entitled Private Moon chronicles the relationship between a man and his discovered moon.
Amazing! Plane in front of moon photo. Even if it's hard to believe, but it wasn't photoshopped.

This is what happens when you don’t stop at the right moment…
That’s the true distance from the Earth to the Moon, which seems so deceptively close. The scale is saved.
These vintages pictures from the NASA archives show engineers testing out the effects of weightlessness on the human body during a moon walk.
These photos come from our visitor Maxwell Giacommo.
To explain you more about them, here’s what he wrote:
"Today, I achieved something I have wanted to do for a considerable length of time. A plane crossing the moon."
There are dozens of spacecraft orbiting our solar system. NASA and ESA take many photographs of Earth, Mercury, the Moon, Mars, Saturn and other planets. Inside this post you can see the most recent pictures from around our solar system. Some of them are closely scaled, others are millions of kilometers afar which makes them ever more fantastic and amazing.
Experience the beauty of nature with these moonbow pictures. What a view it must be, an unforgettable night for sure. I’d love to see them once in a while, too beautiful.
Yesterday the moon was positioned between the Earth and the Sun for about 6 minutes.
And throughout this time, almost all of Asia was plunged into darkness.
This was the longest solar eclipse of the century.
Very beautiful pictures.

This is the first time in history that Apollo 11 spacecraft left the Earth and landed on the Moon.
This is when the man put his foot on the moon for the first time.
Inside the post you will see stunning images of this important event.

Each year, the residents of Laguna Niguel expose their buttocks during the “Mooning of the Trains” event along a railroad track in Orange County, south of Los Angeles.
According to a local legend, this tradition began in 1979 when customer K.T. Smith said he would buy a drink for anyone who would run outside and show his/her butt to the next train.
So for 30 years now, people over there have been mooning trains on the second Saturday of each July.
Quite a funny tradition I must say!
Two great celestial bodies in all their splendour photographed from different angles and in different places of the world.
