Sorry, but the information here is wrong. I'm not sure what you did when you went to dine there, but it only costs $240 for the prix fixe 8+ course menu. Service is also included in that price. I'm from the Napa area and very familiar with the restaurants there. Unless youre making special requests youre not going to be paying 200+ per dish, although it is more than possible to drop over a $5000 on wine

I have never been to this restaurant before but I want to take my girlfriend there for here Birthday and I centainly can't afford $1,0000.00 for a meal. Does anyone really know if I can get in and out of that place without seeming like a cheap-skate for under a grand ???

ridiculous, i don't mind paying a bit extra for quality food, but this is going too far......food should never cost that much money, 99% of it probably goes into the fat pockets of the chefs/owners

if the hydro companies or any other businesses overcharge like that, people would probably be boycotting them instead of embracing it with cult like fervor

You all are overreacting about the price! I ate there the other day and it was just the thing I needed. I was very satisfied and it cost so much because it is an art form! If you think about it you are eating art there. So it's not a bad price at all!

WHAT kind of idiot pays that kind of money for that little food? ONE blackberry in a little sauce? How do they stay open? Who the hell goes there? And why? The idea of a restaurant is to eat, not look at the food. All this shows is conspicuous consumption for rich anorexics who have too much money. As soon as you're finished chewing your food, it all looks the same. I'd like to open a decent restaurant a mile away from there that feeds the patrons maybe a decent prime rib dinner using Allen Brothers meat for75 bucks. Make that 100 if people up there are so stupid. >>Sheesh!!<<
For the vegetarians, I'd have meals for half of that. As for the vegans, they need to observe the sign at my front door that says vegans and PETA members not allowed.

All I have to say is instead of eating at this place and spending 200+ dollars per dish, they should give half of that money to people who really need it.. People from other countrys etc....
