"Who has disturbed my sleep? -cried the owl and pounced itself on the paparazzi ) The Eastern Screech Owl mustn’t be disturbed for nothing, it knows how to defend itself. Otherwise, it is a very nice bird, cute, especially on the 3rd picture )
It looks as though this owl was waken up in middle of deep sleep which he had gotten after being kept up by his wife for three continuous nights. And he looks absolutely pissed off about that. The frown on his face clearly conveys that.
On a serious note, by instinct, the owl exactly knows how to intimidate and even scare off threatening creatures around him. An inherent survival tactic.
