I think it's funny that all of those things were thought of so long ago... especially with all of the STUPID THINGS we're still thinking up now...
The light-up tires are totally awesome... would be great on some hot cars now, imagine if they could change colors?
And, aren't we still trying to be amazed over small t.v.'s? The fact that they made them so small back in a time when they still had tubes and stuff in them is more impressive than what they're making now, in my opinion...
Laryngophone wasn't stupid idea ;-) It's still in use in places where is too noisy to use normal microphones. Ask wikipedia for Throat microphone or Laryngophone :-)
I can definitely see people wanting the lit tires. Maybe it's too much of a pain to change the tire when the light burns out. But you could use a ton of LEDs, so if a few burned out it wouldn't matter. More power-efficient and durable too.
But maybe the rubber itself isn't that durable. I can still see people buying them though as a status symbol, especially if they're impractical.
That first one was for shooting attacking troops off of tanks. the Germans came up with it at the end of ww2 the bullets would break up and not go very far, but you only needed them to hit the people attacking your tank so that didn't really matter. One of the troops inside the tank would stick it out a small hole and hose off of the attackers.
This page is awesome! If you like chindogu you should check out http://www.chindoguawards.com/. There you can upload your own chindogu, rate other chindogues and win prizes. Right now you can win an Ipad or 46" Sony BRAVIA LED TV ! Cheers!
