This is the real situation. A girl left her mobile charging in a car cigarette lighter.

When she came back to her car, not a very pleasant surprise was waiting for her.

 

Such a thing has already happened before, there was a short circuit. But still, it is a good lesson, don’t leave your mobiles charging in your car.

Well it should be possible, I've used the lighter to charge my cell phone and MP3 Player quite often. Of course, especially with laptops, you need special kinds of transformers...
