Orangutan Boxing Show was a big attraction at Safari World outside of Bangkok. It was forbidden in 2006. According to Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation, orangutans were illegally smuggled from the Malaysian woods. They stayed in dark cages and were trained for the show. Some people say animals were abused. It’s important to understand that orangutans are endangered. Wild species can be found only in Malaysia and Indonesia rainforests.

Orangutans are headed towards extinction in the wild in a few years due to, of course, man. I guess the only consolation is that man is currently headed towards extinction just a few years after that.

This is appalling. Orangutans belong in the forests of Sumatra and Borneo. They are not for our amusement. Boycott Palm Oil and Save the Orangutan!
