at least the boy in the last picture has a chain on his foot, because his father has to work on the streets.

Since children are very often abducted in Xhina he chains him to a pole.

At least that's what he told in an interview.

Maybe in their culture it's cruel to allow young children to roam around unattended in crime infested areas like we do in America. Over here we have lazy parents on welfare who stay too doped up to even care that their 2 year old child is playing in the street or that their children are playing in a yard next to a sex offender. I'm sick of everyone in the U.S. pretending they care so much about kids and yet allow these things to happen. At least China has an excuse.

This is beyond depressing. I know China has taken some rather extreme actions to deal with over population but as a nation they must realize that this isn't right.

There should be proper, safe, clean day care centres for all children who have parents both working full time (which is a must in impoverished regions in China).

They look like they're in prison.
