Stereoscopy (also called stereoscopic or 3-D imaging) is any technique capable of recording three-dimensional visual information or creating the illusion of depth in an image. Stereoscopic gif animations use the ‘wiggle’ method. This method, possibly the simplest stereogram viewing technique, is to simply alternate between the left and right images of a stereogram. Closing one eye and moving the head from side-to-side when viewing a selection of objects helps one understand how this works.
We have already posted some of those gifs on the site but have decided to post them again in this selection for those who have not seen them yet. And if, you want to see more stereoscopic animated gifs, check our previous post: 3D Stereoviews of Old Japan (20 pics)
