Homeless People in the Center of Los Angeles (17 pics)

Los Angeles is the “capital” of homeless people in the U.S. There were over 73 thousands of homeless people here before the world crisis, 40 % of them were women and children. A “slummy block” is located in less than one mile to the Mayor’s Office. Here you can always meet 2,000-3,000 homeless Americans. The photos are rather depressing…

This is utterly shameful! Billions of dollars are sent to crappy countries, while Americans live on the streets. The politically correct whine about how badly the damned illegal Mexicans are so hard done by, not giving a hoot about their fellow citizens. It is disgusting. And Canada is not any better.

Other (mainly european) countries gave the US 850 million after hurricane katrina. All through high school we collected money to help poor american children (also other countries where they have lots of poverty). My mother sponsors an american kid called Jake by giving him a couple of dollars a day (she found him through one of those agencies). So stop complaining about your country giving money to others, when others give more to you. And no, the US doesn't send billions to "crappy countries". They use billions for war though.

with the bad economy you cant say that all these people are there because of drug relations, but most are indeed victims of drug abuse. i feel sorry for them but thats the life they choose.

Actually, according to the Department of State, the U.S. gave , in 2008, over 28 billion dollars to over 150 countries. Yes, some money is for those countries to buy weapons ( Israel, Egypt, etc) but a lot went to Africa to help fight AIDS, malaria, help with agricultural development, etc. Maybe you should look up the facts before saying things you know nothing about.
