The Rescue of a Moose in Tallinn (28 pics)

Posted in Pictures   2 Jun 2010   / 4000 views

Thanks to reader Ain for sharing this news with us and sending the links. These photos were taken ashore Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. Rescuers dragged the moose out of the water after people called for help, as the beast seemed to be unable to do it by itself. Apparently, according to the local hunters, this place is kind of ‘hypnotic’ and makes the moose ‘sleepy’. Let’s call it the good deed of the day…

In that one picture it looks like they're trying to put a giant life jacket on it. ^_^

Haha! Estonia is not a third world country, it's just a tiny Eastern European country.

Look up "3rd world" from wikipedia (or any other site). Estonia is not 3rd world, its 2nd world. I agree that its a ugly country though... 25% of their population is russian, so they have some hot chicks, but the estonian girls are way too manly.

I think the sniper is the owner of the moose. He was shooting at the guys in the boat that were trying to take his moose. He must have had only one bullet so he used it to kill the moose...sparing the moose the misery of being captured, killed, frozen and then thawed for cooking for the Boxing Day feast.
