Old Computer Ads (29 pics)

Posted in Pictures   23 Sep 2010   / 7109 views

These are some advertisements for old computers. There are two things that really stand out. The first is what they termed as portable in those days. The second is how expensive they were. Some things weren’t so good in the good old days.

If they had computers back in Ben Franklin's time, why was the Declaration of Independence handwritten? Wouldn't it have been easier and faster to type it, print it (or email it) to all of the guys to sign?

I'm confused....:(

and no computer did. therefore the past "LOL's" right back at you, genius.

Analphilosopher,
whats with Ben selling PC's?

the company was called "franklin," and they sold apple ][ clones. is the connection between "ben" and "franklin" really that hard to figure out...?

gigantes is totally right. #24 is the Amiga, and the features it had then blew everything out of the water for probably a decade

That's right, it's the one ancient computer that stands out in particular as having been YEARS ahead of it's time.
