These are photos of Marseilles, France. It seems that the garbage collectors have been on strike and this is the result. Apparently, they are trying to force the President to raise the retirement age to 62. But I doubt if the President is having any trouble getting his garbage picked up.

In fact the strike is to oppose a law that will raise the retirement age from 60 to 62.

I'm French and it's a shame, considering the fact that those who go on stike are the most privileged workers. But well, when people are to lazy to work, you cannot do anything against that!

Its not just France that has to put with this crap .. well french have to put it literally ... strikes are held across Europe. What the dumbass goverment emploee doesnt compute is that EU has an old population. Its really simple math: too few "young" people working (and paying taxes) with TOO many old people not working (and eating taxes).

Why are the French whining about upping the age to 62?! Seems like a very nice retirement age.. In my country (NL) they want to raise it to 67 (its been 65 since forever)! Stop whining, start working, you lazy old bastards!
