The artist Judy Gelles volunteered in an inner city school two years ago and asked the students three simple questions: What do they wish for? Whom do they live with? and What do they worry about? The follow portraits reveal their answers.

This is amazing, yet it shows the decline of our society...
These children are the future, these experiences will shape them and shape the future...
I wish them the best of luck and always sees the positive side of life and keep their heads up!

They are going to inherit a bigger pile of problems than they know. Let's hope that one of them comes up with a solution. I, for one, gave up a long time ago.
