The Russians have to have the worst roads in the world. They are in a constant state of repair because they don’t drain properly and they are full of potholes and deep pools. At the rate that they are being repaired, Russia will have bad roads for a long time.

The road quality is so bad because of temperature differences that are in summer and winter. During a hot summer it's sometimes even +40 Celcius degrees and during cold winter it can be -30. So it's 70 degrees difference. So no wonder that asphalt cannot stand it.
But from the other hand Germans have nearly the same climate as we and their roads are in much better condition.
