This photo was taken by photographer Richard Lam. The Canucks defeated the Boston Bruins by a score of 4 to 0 which resulted in violence in the streets. The couple on the photos is the girlfriend named Alex Thomas from Canada and the guy Scott Jones from Australia.

They happened to be in between the rioters and the riot police when the latter charged towards them and Alex got knocked down by a police shield. Scott lay down next to her to comfort her and gave her a kiss to let he know that it was going to be okay and the photographer just took the picture at this moment.

Yeah, the BRUINS kicked the Canucks' asses. I'm from Boston, and WE didn't have any riots, we had a million-person-parade and only 9 people got drunk and had to be detained. Not like those losers above. I feel bad for the people of Vancouver.

The story changes all the time. Now we learn they even weren't participating in the riots, and they're all innocent. Next time we'll be told they actually weren't there.
