The eruption of the Puyehue in Chile on June 4th continues to cause trouble. The pumice and ash is polluting the lakes and rivers that are close by which threatens to damage dams which could result in flooding.

The resorts in Argentina are trying to restore the electricity and water supply that were interrupted by the eruption of this volcano.

Residents who were evacuated from local farms are worried about their livestock because of the volcanic ash that remains.

The ash cloud from the volcano is already disrupting the normal functioning of flights of Australia and New Zealand.

Quite fnkarly, I've never understood why anyone would want to experience fine dining while sweating in our Joisey humidity, competing with flies and mosquitoes, and in some places, having the fragrance of the food ruined by vehicle fumes !!!Give me a perfect indoor environment where I can enjoy the food the way the chef intended me to and that includes ALL my senses and sensibilities !!!

Congrats too on your beautifully amazing blog. Although I tell you to your face how amazing I think you are, I thought I should make a comment here for a change. You might be rnrfreieg to the 1950 s? when a sub-glacial eruption apparently occurred. I believe that the 1918 eruption caused worldwide consequences though. You're right about Hekla, although I'm not aware of any eminent signs of late.
