Makes you wonder why wouldn't they sell as USB card readers and make more profit, I've had one as small as #5, but it is broken now (corrupts the data it reads) and I want another, but the things are rare as balls where I live...
Generalized stores (even general Informatics stores) don't usually go that way, unless they cater to specialized customers (people more knowledgeable in the area).

Not really, MicroSD cards are very slow - up to 10MBps. Memory installed inside genuine flash drives are three times faster - 30MBps.
