The Cooper Creek River in Australia is a good place to find crayfish, but certain times of the year it is literally run over with the nasty things. There are so many that it would take a team of people and shovels to clear them all away.

Snacks in whatever country though I do tend to agree with the Aussie. It's pretty self absorbed to assume your way is the way it should be everywhere.
