For me it was the same until about 25, then it was "Dad wants to move in with me.... AGAIN..." then a couple of years later, "Dad shot himself in the head with a shotgun, I hate that asshole". Moral of the story isn't "feel sorry for Anonymous", but rather "if your Dad is even a marginally decent guy, appreciate the HELL out of that".

My dad was horribly abusive. He just had throat surgery. I'm hoping it was cancer. This doesn't always apply.

Age 14 to 21; the reality is: "my son is an asshole".
this post is very good, i feel sorry for that bad fathers and above all, for the ungratedful sons.
One of the things how make us human; is thE capability of forgive those how are wrong whit us. if your father is abussive let to the time put in his place, i`m sure soon or later he`s gonna knows how bad he was like father and how good as a son you were, just for the fact of forgive him
