#4 Izi, that is seriously not funny. When your shoelace gets stuck in the escalator you're FU**ED (unless you can pull your foot out of the shoe fast enough). It leads to foot injuries, crippling and even deaths, especially among young children and old people. That would also explain why a guy on one photo posted earlier on this site carried a dog up an escalator as a warning sign next to him ordered.
