Doesn't matter to me. If it's up I kick it down. I can also check my own oil. Sounds to me like a woman with weak wrists, can't flip the seat.

@123-Women and their control issues...that's the problem. Most men try to accomodate and rarely if ever complain that the seat is down. But what happens if you forget once to put it down? Woman has to take issue. Hence I see where the problem is. Why don't they?
