How would the paint transfer from the old tie? this means that every time you break a sweat you taint your shirt. I don't get it. i think it is photoshopped.

Oh, it works. It's an old Martha Stewart craft. There's a lot more to it than is shown here. You have to use vinegar to get the dye to release. It's a whole process. The eggs are striking, though. And you get to cut up your old ties...
