on two occasions you can see some kind of relationship between three and four. power to one LED influences power to the other. that's about the only way in which the circuit appears to be somewhat 'normal' to me.

since nobody here could produce the answer, i couldn't help looking it up:

turns out this was not fake, nor a video trick, etc, but a case of a complex circuit being presented as a simple one. seems that the LEDs and switches had extra components included, such as RF generators and mini-cells. the behavior of the 3,4 LEDs were indeed the tipoff, so hooray for me. also, points to "delicious" for the closest thing to an answer (forged switches). the original video is from youtube user "fredzislaw100".
