Bruce Campbell is an electrical engineer who has a dream of creating an entire subdivision of retired airplanes, and he is starting with his own airplane house first.

Purchased for $100,000 and sitting on a portion of his ten-acre lot in Portland, Oregon, Campbell lives and works in this retired Boeing 727. Campbell's apartment inside the plane is 40 m (130 ft.) long and 4 m (13 ft.) wide.
