Warmer is better too, having a new grand minimum in solar activity would kill millions in 2 years.
Whole global warming is based on the realisation:
1.western economies cannot keep up the standard of living when china and india get up to speed
2.people will be happier about taxing them to stone age (remedy of point 1) if they think they are saving the planet while paying
Add Al Gore and some doctored data, call it a non debatable piece of science (it is isn't it..) and brand all non-compliant ppl anti environment and/or idiots. The sheeple will pay and be happy.
Second, for about 100 of those years there was ONE temperature station in the southern hemisphere and only a dozen or so at the present time; nobody has a clue what is really going on in the south and this claims to give absolute data.
Third, for over a decade there's been no warming, instead cooling in many areas. Even alarmists are wondering where the warming went that they hysterically predicted in the 90s.
Most weather stations in the northern hemisphere are actually in cities and over half are poorly placed: near heat sources such as parking lots, exhaust from AC units, and so on. Instead of compensating for that, the alarmist adjusts non-urban stations HIGHER to match the urban ones.
And finally, as people have noted here not only were the 30s skipped (which were warmer than the 90s), the planet goes through warming and cooling phases normally and naturally. We can't stop it, cause it, or make a difference. We can just adapt to it.
Hopefully, this planet jumps a good 20 degrees across the board and humanity dies off. Then the planet can hang out for a while in peace and start over again with less religion.
in a couple more years, when weather-related problems and disasters are running even more frequently than they are now, you can bet your bottom dollar that the excuses for non-action and the finger of blame will continue pointing everywhere but in the right direction.
meanwhile, people will be clamoring for science to bail them out of this enormous jam after having done everything in their power to ignore what the body of science has been warning about for the past few decades. you can be very sure of that, as well.
gotta love the irony... assuming you're a lover of irony.
Mr. Ree...you're just gettin' older honey.
