Stuff Like iPads Are Not for Kids to Play With (4 pics)

A grandfather from Britain didn’t expect anything bad when he gave his iPad to a 6-year-old grandson to play games…

It turned out that the boy spent about $3,200 from his granddad’s banking account on virtual food and coins in an online game. It happened because the game used the man’s App Store account synced with his credit card, so the boy was probably pressing buttons and buying items not knowing that he was charged real money.

You have to enter your password about every freaking second on iOS before you can make any king of purchases. No way this kid got away with so many purchases.

Sure he did. I guess he also ordered the monogrammed silver plated butt plugs, glow in the dark jack-off lube, and the 300 8x10 glossies of Sylvester Stallone too, huh?

In Sweden children are not allowed to make purchases like that, and Apple are required by law to return the money.

no, the corresponding android apps will also attempt to charge your acct for in-app purchases. that's their whole business model. doesn't matter what the OS is.
